usually "skor" used for value of the competition/match/tournament. Example for soccer skor 3-1, 2-0, etc. But "nilai" same with value or mark, can be good or bad. Contoh kalimatnya : Skornya berapa? 2-2 (2 sama) Nilaimu berapa? lumayan bagus (good enough), dapat (get) 8. (scale 0-10)

'Skor' has specific mean especially to give the ranking by number. Meanwhile 'nilai' has more wider mean (in English 'value'), sometime be used to express the part culture (like behavior).

skor mean it take any number, 10 or 100 or something. nilai : sometimes it justa good or bad mark. it depend on the situation, you can ask me more.
