Hamburgers and baseball.

Mostly it's that our country is a "meritocracy" -- where one's background is less important than one's intelligence, initiative, dedication, creativity and hard work! The "American Dream" is still possible for those who are willing to put in the effort! Note that American football has certainly replaced baseball as our most popular sport, and McDonald's has made hamburgers an international food (and not only that, but they must have originated in Hamburg, Germany... right?!?) Now if Peewee Herman were to become the symbol of our country... it would probably mean that our best days were gone! !0_0!
