Okay, just like my question, is it necessary to add in 만약 ?

Example:-

1) 만약 내일 밤에 비가 오면.....

and

2) 내일 밤에 비가 오면.....

Is it necessary to add in 만약 ? Is there a difference ? What exactly does 만약 do to the meaning of the first sentence ?

No difference in meaning, but if you want to emphasize "IF", then you can add "만약"
