Saying 'unlike' in Chinese, what is the difference between 与...不同, 不像 and 不同于?
When you say 'unlike' in Chinese what';s the difference between using 与...不同, 不像。。。,不同于。。。?
For example I want to say 'unlike Chinese and English, French uses gender specific nouns.'
Another example: Unlike some singers, she actually writes and produces her own music.

不像is more colloquial than the other two; and it also has the meaning of "dosen't look like", which the other two are not often used for. e.g 他(长得)不像他妈妈。
不同于is the most formal of them all, and although both 不同于and 与……不同 can be placed in front of the subject, 不同于is the one that's probably used that way more when you really have to use it. e.g 不同于荷花,菊花是开在秋天里的。/ 菊花不同于荷花,是开在秋天里的。in these two sentences, I personally think that the first one is more accurate and sounds better.
Hope this helps.

All of them can be replaced each other in your sentences. All of them means to take two stuffs to comparsion.
