I looked this up in a punctuation style guide and here's the rule that might be pertinent...
Unless a comma is required to prevent misreading, you may omit it in short, closely related clauses.
So, no comma required.

The comma in this case is completely unnecessary and it is recommended not to use it. "My daughter Jane never ..." is fine.
You only use the comma in such situations when you really want someone to read the sentence with pauses where commas appear.
e.g. "My daughter, Jane, never went to school" will be read with pauses after Daughter and Jane.

No, the comma isn't necessary.
You can say, "My daughter Jane never got married." Or things similar to that. I think your example with the comma is attempting to slow the words down to the reader for effect.
