「たった」は数量の少ないことを強調（emphasisかな？）する語で、 「たった」のあとに数量を表す言葉が必要 （ after 「たった」need a word that indicates the quantity） 「たった百円しかない」「たった一人の息子」「たった一日だけの休み」「たったこれだけ」etc. 「だけ」はonlyのほかにもいろいろ使い方があるが、onlyとして使うなら、限定（restrictionかな？）する場合 「百円だけあげる」「あなただけに話す」「二人だけで話したい」「これだけ終わらせたい」etc. 英語が下手なので、わからなかったらごめんなさい。
