Well, "get marry" is wrong, so you'll never use that. :) "Get married" means you go from unmarried to married, and refers to the time of the wedding. "Be married" is someone's status after their marriage (until divorce or death, of course).

If you are going to have a wedding ceremony and become the wife of someone, you could say: I will get married to <him>. I will be married to <him>. I will marry <him> 'Get marry' is wrong. Once the ceremony is over, you can say "I am married to <him>" If you say "I was married to <him> in January", you are saying that the ceremony in which you got married was in January. If you just say "I was married to <him>", you would be understood to be saying that you WERE married, but are not married to him any longer.
