I think its really important if u will know first the verbal focus coz tagalog has a complex verbal system. (which u can also learn in the website i have mentioned). "Um"- we use this as infix or letters placed in the middle of the word eg. kain (eat) kumakain(present), kakain(future), kumain(past tense) "mag" we usually use this for future tenses eg. luto(cook) nagluluto(present), magluluto(future), nagluto(past) Hope u will enjoy learning tagalog!
