Normally したまえ is order to something do to for example Watashino iu you ni shitamae ( You should do as I say so) as your example " 私を崇拝したまえ ” for my sence of this sentence means "I ordered you to obey me" ( really inplite all means ) if I use 崇拝 I use 我々は(かれを) 崇拝したもう (We adore above ).
