مُتَحَمَّس : this is the correct word for it.

The other word is usually the dialect of many Arab people. For example, I am from Egypt and we pronounce it - motahamis.

The one found in dictionaries is the "Al Fus-ha" way, and is the very accurate way to say it. Yet, when you speak to Arabs with many different dialects - you may pronounce it in the second way.

I think مُتَحَمّـِس  is the correct one.
for the second one is recommanded by old Arab linguistics to put the KASRAH under Shadda but this is not possible with the use of keyboard.
anyhow in Arabic we have only one word that have these 5 letters in this sequence م ُ تَ حَ مِ م سْ
so type it without those harakat and read it with this only way.
