Normally, you use 'learn' when you are doing something new and learning the skill the first time. 'Study' is used for revising, re-learning those things. 'Study' is used more in America than England and also when talking about higher education (University) Examples in use: "I am learning how to fix a car" and "I will learn the alphabet at school tomorrow."
