A Pretty Basic Question about Russian
Hey! I have looked it up multiple times and have gotten several slightly different answers. So, how does one say "I am studying economics" in Russian. Please let me know! Thanks, Naomi :)

The right way would be: "Я изучаю экономику". An informal way: "Я учусь на экономиста", which means "I am studying in order to become an economics specialist".

For everyday use will be better "Я учусь на экономиста". 
Expression "Я изучаю экономику" is more formal and you'll hardly hear it from somebody. It's more likely for official documents.
