This question is relating to New Concept English(Book3 Lesson 3). http://www.putclub.com/html/course/classic/newconcept/book3/2008/0926/7318.html There is a question in the book: "How did the archaeologists know that the statue was a goddess?" The answer would be, "Because the archaeologists found the statue in the most sacred room of temple." But I have the a question relating to the last sentence, "........the archaeologists have been unable to discover her identity." I think her identity is goddess. Do you have different opinion?
