（１）We did lots of fun things and had been busy for changing of clothes like 4 times a day.

（２）We did tons of fun stuff and it was a busy day to change of clothes about 4 times.

Try this:

We did lots of fun things.  The four changes of clothes a day kept us very busy.

I would try to restructure the sentence; try "We did lots of fun stuff. We were so busy we had to change clothes like four times a day!"
