A vocabulary notebook will be very usefull, keep it with you wherever you go, jot down new words with some examples of their use. Take advantages of your daily dead time and keep reading them frequently :)

I think that you should learn words with opposite meaning and words with similar meaning together, you can remember similar and opposite things more easily because they stick together in your mind. Also use the new words several times in conversation as soon as you can. Another thing you should look up the word in a dictionary and write down its meaning in a vocabulary notebook.

So maybe cut out magazine pictures that symbolize a word you want to learn and tape it up at your home. So a picture of someone running with "run, ran, running" below it will help.
