Hi Sindy Are you asking about when we use 'do' and 'does' in questions? That's quite easy. We use 'do' and 'does' for questions in the simple tenses. Simple tenses are the ones which consist of just one word. For example 'go' in the present or 'went' in the past. I usually go to the beach at the weekends. Where do you go? or I went to the beach last weekend. Where did you go? You also use 'do' for negatives in the simple tenses - for example 'I speak Spanish but I don't speak French' or 'I bought some fruit but I didn't buy any bread'. You don't use 'do' for other tenses, such as perfect tenses (like 'I have studied') or continuous tenses (like 'I am studying').

We often use it for emphasis, especially when arguing. e.g. "I DO clean the bathroom [even if you say I don't]". It's also used to turn statements into a question. "Yes, but you never clean the kitchen, DO you?"
