Hello, in Uruguay we call it : accidente cerebro vascular (ACV),and also we use the same English word,stroke. El ACV (accidente cerebro vascular) puede ser isquémico o hemorrágico. También se le puede decir ictus ,o apoplejía. I hope this is what you wanted to know.

In Spanish, I would translate it as "golpe" and "coup" (French). Do you agree?
