-거란 meaning + translation. Help? In a sentence like this: 아르바이트를 해서 돈을 벌어서 올수 있을거란 뜻으로 얘기했어요! I have problems translating sentences if too many grammar points at once are used^^ I think I can translate the first part somewhat correctly: "Because I work a part-time job I earn money and then--" But then comes the confusing 있다+거란 part and I don't know how the meaning of '뜻으로 얘기했다' either.. :/ A good explanation for the use of 거란 would be nice! Thanks in advance :)

"아르바이트를 해서 돈을 벌어서 올수 있을거란 뜻으로 얘기했어요!" You can break down the sentence like this. * note 거란 = 거라는 = 것이라는 = 것이다+라는. 1) 아르바이트를 해서 돈을 벌어서 올수 있을 것이다 2) (#1)이라는 뜻 3) (#2)으로 얘기했어요! ~(이)라는 forms an adjective clause from a noun or noun clause, as in quoting. - 조르바라는 사람: A man called Zorba. - 나는 이것이 끝이라는 것을 알았다: I knew this was the end. ~(으)로 means "with (a means/condition/state/occatsion/...)". - 나는 망치로 못을 박았다: I drove the nail with a hammer. - 그날을 끝으로 그는 다시 오지 않았다: He did not come again after that day. - 나는 뛰는 듯한 기분으로 걸었다: I walked feeling like I was running. So in English: 1) I would be able to come back with good money earned from working part time. 2) (the sense/meaning) that #1 3) I said it with #2 => I said it in the sense that I would be able to come back with good money earned from working part time. => I said it to mean that I can come back with good money earned from working part time.
