What are the differences between 'Impression', 'Feeling' and 'Sensation'? Are they interchangeable? Thank you in advance.

Impression is more like passive. Like something occurred or someone said something that gave you an impression. Like "When I saw what happened I got the impression that...." This is really close and interchangeable with feeling. But feeling can be vague like "I have this feeling like today is going to be a bad day." You wouldn't say "I have the impression today is going to be a bad day," unless there's a specific reason why. Sensation is more tangible. Like an emotion. A sensation of fear or excitement, etc. Sensation also has a heavier connotation to it so you wouldn't use it casually unless you're making a joke or something.

sensation: 'I have a tingly (tingling) sensation in my left foot.' 'Jumping from a plane gives you the sensation of flying.' Do you have any sensation in your toes? - In all 3 "sensation" could be replaced with "feeling" feel: 'I feel sick. I feel like I am going to vomit.' 'I can feel the different textures of this carpet.' (in relation to physical touch) In relation to emotion or thought: 'I feel that we should both study more often.' احساس كردم اقدام شان اقدامى درست بود ='I felt their actions were correct actions.' 'When you argue with me it hurts my feelings.' impression: 'He made a strong impression on me .' (meaning: I will never forget his words or actions/His words or actions have strongly effected me) In these next 3 it is interchangeable with "feeling": (used when someone has said or done something to cause you to predict that a certain outcome is likely) 'I get the impression that he isn't going to change his opinion.' 'I get the feeling that he isn't going to change his opinion.' 'My feeling is that he won't change his opinion.' However if there is not a person involved only "feel" should be used, because you are forming a prediction based on instinct.
