Go to my head
I don´t know if I am riight in the meaning of the following sentence.Could you confirm or correct it ?
"Waiters dashed everywhere...It was quite extraordinary. As I stood there I tried to remember where I was.I was Impressed.
It all rather went to my head.I,m not usually much of one for lunch , but the food smelled so wonderful that I found myself oredering like a kning"
I imagine , " it all rather went to my head " means he changed his mind that time, but does it make sense?
Dictionaries say it means : to feel conceited????
Thanks
