Is it not "are being replaced", "were being replaced", or "have being replaced"? 1. Large, mainframe computers are being replaced by small, personal models 2. (It tooks a period of time to replace)

The third sentence should be "have **been** replaced", not "have being replaced". A fourth possible sentence would be with "are being replaced", which emphasizes that the process is still ongoing.
