Fuzz or fuzzy is a word for soft hair-like texture. The light hairs that you feel on a peach we call "peach fuzz".  When a young boy gets the first hint of a beard we also call it "peach fuzz".  It is just enough texture that you would not call it smooth.  
In rock music, fuzz guitar is guitar with distortion.
