Please explain this sentence for me. Thank you.
I don't understand the sentence as following:
"Finally Spring is here again and making a doubled-up effort to stay this time."
I don't know what "make a doubled-up effort" means.
Could you explain it for me?

I'm American, and don't think I would use this term, but I'm sure it means that spring (it should not be capitalized) is trying twice as hard to stay, and keep the cold weather from returning.
