help with translation

I can't find the translation of التماعات....
Here is one sentence with it:
نظرتُ إلى النجوم و هي تُبدد وحشة الظلمة بالتماعات الأزلية
could anybody translate it for me?

نظرتُ إلى النجوم و هي تُبدد وحشة الظلمة بالتماعات الأزلية: 
I looked at the stars while they are removing the dreariness of darkness with their eternal flashes.

التماعات: flashes/ lusters.

This is from َلَمَع which means shine , glow...
