Chinese questions: 在意/担心,麻烦你了/劳驾了,(在)北京见,周一/星期一/礼拜一 Hi guys, I have some more Chinese questions. 1) What is the difference between 别在意 and 别担心? Can you give me some example scenarios where I would them? I'd like to understand how they're used differently, if at all. 2) What is the difference between 麻烦你了 and 劳驾了? Do they both mean "I'm sorry to trouble you" or do they mean different things that are used in different situations? 3) I've learned that 再见 is "goodbye" and 明天见 is "see you tomorrow". So, if I wanted to say "I'll see you in Beijing", would I say 在北京见? Or do I have to take out 在 and just say "北京见" ? 4) I have learned that I could use 星期, 礼拜 or 周 to count the days of the week in Chinese. I also understand that historically speaking, the 礼拜 form is more recent and it has to do with worshipping God in Western religions like Christianity and Catholicism. So, if I said 礼拜一 for "Monday" instead of 星期一 or 周一, would people possibly think I'm religious? (By the way, I'm not religious.) Thank you so much.

1.别在意 and 别担心? For me, I feel 别在意 is more like Don't care too much, never mind in English; 别担心 is more like Don't worry. Don't worry about it. For example, you didn't do well on a quiz and you friend told you 別太在意 (don't take it too seriously. It is just a quiz.) ; It is already midnight but you are not yet home, so you mom call you and ask where you are. And you reply: 別太擔心 (Don't worry. I will be home in ten minutes). 2. 麻烦你了 and 劳驾了? Personally, I think these two expression share the meaning, but the latter is more formal than the former. However, the answer might be different, depending on the area. Yap, you can emit 在,simply said 北京見 or 我們北京見。 4. 星期, 礼拜 or 周 To me, 星期, 礼拜 are equally commonly used in daily conversation and contains no (not much ) religious connotation if you use 禮拜。 周 is more written / formal. So chances are you will encounter this word more often in written texts or formal setting, say speech or news.
