complete and thorough
both words mean to the greatest degree, however, I'm not usre which one is correct as below.
(1) He is a complete fool.
(2) He is a thorough fool.

"Thorough fool" would mean that the person has done their utmost to be the best fool they could!
It could be used humorously, why not!
