What symbolizes the pig in the British series?
In the series "Monty Python" is made jokes with pigs and I wanted to know if there is any issue between the pigs and the British that I ignored and I cannot understand the joke and/or reference

It makes me laugh because, in America, some people 'get' British humor, and some people don't.
It is just a bit different. In all honesty, I am one of those whose humor does not very often line up with British humor.

Sometimes Monty Python is funny to me, sometimes I just shake my head and walk away. But many people love it. :)

I have no idea about the pigs. I'm not familiar with the story. I hope someone will be able to explain. :)
