What's the difference between "take a stab at doing" and "try to do"?

Hi Ethan, There is very little difference between them. They both mean to attempt something. "Take a stab at doing" often implies that you attempt something without knowing exactly how to, the outcome or result, where "try to do" is a more focused or predicted action and outcome.

It means the same thing. "Take a stab at doing" is just a more creative way of expressing. :)
