"Nere" is the root of the word "where". It is grammatically incorrect to use it on its own. So, you first need to decline it!
1) Accusative Case: Nereyi?
Nereyi gördünüz? (Görmek+acc. case) Where/ what places did you see? - Ankara'yı ve Eskişehir'i gördük.
2) Dative Case: Nereye?
Nereye gittiniz? Where did you go?[To-towards...] - İstanbul'a gittik.
3) Locative case: Nerede?
Nerede kaldınız? (kalmak+ loc. case) Where did you stay [In, at...] -Otel'de kaldık.
4) Ablative case: Nereden?
Nereden ayrıldınız? (ayrılmak+ abl. case) From where did you leave/depart? - Limandan ayrıldık.
In certain dialects, especially in Anatolia, you could hear people pronounce the word "nereye" as "nere" in day- to-day speech. Such as: Nere gidiyon? This is grammatically incorrect and can only be used in informal settings. The correct form would be: Nereye gidiyorsun?
