Greetings in Egyptian Arabic
Hi,
So far, I have learned the following greetings in Egyptian Arabic.
- as-salam 3alaykom. / wa 3alaykom as-salam.
- ahlan! <--- Do Egyptians say this, too, or is this more of a Lebanese/Syrian thing?
- mar7aba! <--- Do Egyptians say this, too, or is this more of a Lebanese/Syrian thing?
- Sabaa7 el-kheyr. / Sabaa7 el-nour. (Other variations: Sabaa7 el-fol, Sabaa7 el-2esh6a.)
- masaa2 el-kheyr. / masaa2 el-nour.
etc.
What other greetings are there that are commonly heard in Egyptian Arabic?
Thank you.

اهلا is standard arabic but usually intonation makes the difference
ma7aba or ya mara7eb is standard arabic as well
7abibi! can be used as a welcoming word even on thw phone as you get to the know the caller " escp a friwnd or family"
wht you got here is sufficient the others are seasonal but " kol sana we enta tayeb " will fit
best of luck

I think mar7aba is used in Levantine. In Egyptian it means welcome not Hi.
