What's the difference? Me, te, se compared to mi, tu, su
1. Me vs mi (meaning "me")
2. Te vs tu (meaning "your")
3. Se vs su (meaning "your")
For example, why are these incorrect?
1. Mi llamo Amy
2. ¿Cómo tu llamas?
3. ¿Señor, cómo su llama usted?
Thanks for your help! :)

1. The difference is that "me" is a direct and indirect object and it is also a pronoun that we use for reflexive verbs only for the subject "I"(levantarse, cepillarse, acostarse, etc. Me levanto, me cepillo, me acuesto). "Mi" is a possesive pronoun that means: my (mi casa, mi cuaderno, mi vestido, etc).
2. "Te" direct and indirect object, pronoun for reflexive verbs only for the subject "You" (tú te levantas, te cepillas, te acuestas, etc). Tu (possesive adjective) means "your" (tu bolso, tu cuaderno, tu vestido, etc).
3. "Se" direct and indirect object, pronoun for reflexive verbs for the subjects "he, she, they" (ella se levanta, él se cepilla, ellos se acuestan, etc).
1. Me llamo Amy ( llamarse)
2. ¿Cómo te llamas?
3. Señor, ¿cómo se llama usted?

In English we have the same words or both object pronouns. Direct and Indirect objects have the same word. In Spanish this is not the case. Becasue they are the same in English, we are not sued to making that distinction, but the understanding of this lies in learning to make the distinction between direct and indirect object, then it will become clear.
