"se pasean con lo que quieren" = "they get away with getting whatever they want" ? Hola, I was listening to this Mexican narcocorrido song (which I understand isn't the nicest genre of music) called "La Raza de Michoacán" by Los Originales de San Juan. There is a part that goes "Para ellos no existen leyes, retenes ni federales se pasean con lo que quieren armas, drogas y mujeres" Now, how should I translate "pasearse con algo" in English? Thank you. ¡Gracias!

they go around carrying whatever they want.= Ellos se pasean con lo que quieren. Pasearse con algo= go around carrying something.

Creo que la traducción se toma literalmente porque son traficantes, viajan mucho y están en cualquier lugar, entonces podría ser en ingles: "they walk with what they want" I think the translation is taken literally because they are traffickers, they travel a lot and they are anywhere, so it could be in English: "they walk with what they want"

Hi, I understand it more as "they carry (or have with them) whatever they want...".

In this context "se pasean con lo que quieren" is not literally "to go for a walk" the translation in this sentence is "they do what they want" :)
