Push/stretch Hi, there I was wondering what idioms/phrases I could use to express this idea: For example, let’s say someone says something kind of absurd, like “Adele is the best singer in the world.”. Could I say something like: Come on, she is good, but don’t push it.” Could I use “don’t push it” in this case? What other sentences could I use? What about “That’s a big stretch” “That’s quite a stretch? “That’s really stretching it” “That’s stretching it a lot” Thank you

"don't push it" and "That's a stretch" both make sense in this scenario, but the phrase "don't push it" can be interpreted as more serious and a bit confrontational. In more relaxed conversations, go with the "that's a stretch" phrase, or something like "that's quite an exaggeration", or "don't exaggerate so much".
