Is this sentence correct? Hello. I saw the following sentence somewhere and I wonder if it is correct: " If you have a classmate who breaks the school’s record for the number of times ***him*** being late, you could presume that he is a lazy boy who spends the whole night playing Play Station 4. " I think "him" is not correct in this sentence and it should be "he is". Am I right?

Yes, "him" is wrong. But if you write "he is", you need to delete "being". Also, "school record" is better than "school's record".

it is better if you remove it altogether. it is redundant.

“He has been late” just sounds better to me, but also not saying “him “or “he” also reads and would sound better in conversation

Good question, I think it should be “he is”.
