Books are resources for learning Turkish Hi everyone! Recently I've started learning Turkish and I'm asking for your learning experience. Could you advice me: 1. Books for Turkish learners (based on English or Turkish). Currently I'm using "Istanbul" by Istanbul University and "Yeni Hitit 1" by Tömer. Is it good choice or there something else better? 2. Resources for improving vocabulary, something like Cambridge Learner's dictionary, where I can find word meaning and proper pronunciation. Also I'm looking for resources where I can find vocabulary sets based on certain topic and learning level. 3. Also I listen podcasts by TurkishClass101. Do you know something else, maybe YouTube channels? Thank you so much in advance!

even this old book of Foreign Service Institute is better than Yeni Hitit book. I may sound so aggressive against this book but unfortunately TÖMER insists on not changing their teaching way although it is complicated and useless for many foreigners. I wouldn't be so pessimist against this book if I didn't live in Ankara and didn't help so many foreigners. https://fsi-languages.yojik.eu/languages/oldfsi/languages/turkish.html

The Delights of Turkish by Yaşar Esendal Kuzucu is one of the good books I liked. I've met it recently when another foreigner sent me the photos from different pages of the book. It's definitely much better than Yeni Hitit, I assure you.

I think the message I sent you hasn't got your inbox. I said, I can send you useful materials if you write me your email address sending me a message. Some of the materials are in Russian.

TurkishClass 101 is the number 1 channel on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/user/ambivalent14 Chelsea is also another foreigner who learns Turkish. As far as I've checked some of her videos, she is good at helping the other foreigners learn. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk6F7kgxqIG-VmU_K-qeqhQ/featured and this Turkish man has newly created his Turkish lessons for foreigners
