Difference between ''estoy-soy'', ''estas-eres'', ''esta-es''
Hola! I'm a pure beginner in Spanish and faced these two different ways of saying ''I am, you are, he/she/it is'' in Spanish.

I was wondering if I got it right.

So when we speak about temporary action (e.g. she is happy at the moment, but not usually) we use the construction ''esta alegre''.

But when we mean that she is a cheerful person, in general, we say ''es alegre''.

Did I get it right?

You get it right "es alegre" is about personality and "esta alegre" is speaking about at the moment.

Hi! I´m learning english jejej.. I think you´re right.
we also say "ella está viendo tv" she is watching tv" plus, when use to be verb in past usually have an accent mark such as contó (counted or told) , compró (bought), robó (stole)... but the to be verb, when is present it have an accent mark too, like "está feliz" "ella está viendo cocinando", "está escribiendo" "está hablando por telefóno"... etc.
