Is the phrase "Load up on guns" regular English or slang? It's from Smells like teen spirit, a song by Nirvana Here "Load up on guns, bring your friends It's fun to lose and to pretend" Would it be more correct to say "Load the guns up" ? Thanks

No, those mean different things. To "load up on" means to get a large supply of something, usually to prepare for an event. "When John heard that a hurricane was coming, he loaded up on canned food." "To prepare for Halloween, I loaded up on candy." I think it is colloquial, rather than slang.
