Просмотреть: 1. To run over, to look through, to view (often quickly). E.g.: She flicked through the pages of a magazine (Она просмотрела/пролистала журнал). 2. To overlook, to miss, to pay no heed. E.g.: You missed the moment when he shows his face (Ты просмотрел/пропустил момент, когда он показывает своё лицо). Пересмотреть: 1. To review, to reconsider. E.g.: I have to rethink my plans for the future (Мне нужно пересмотреть/изменить свои планы на будущее). 2. To see a lot. E.g.: I've watched all the films by this director (Я пересмотрел все фильмы этого режиссёра).

For ex. the film. Choose any you like. If you've never seen it before and then did it for the first time you say - Я просмотрел(=посмотрел) его (I've just seen it). But if you already have seen it and did it for another time you say - Я пересмотрел его = Посмотрел еще раз. As for another meaning of the word просмотрел. You say that when you fall asleep at the moment of seeing your favorite TV-programm. Просмотреть значит ты не смотрел раньше этого (например журнал) Но пересмотреть означает, что ты его уже просматривал, смотрел

пересмотреть - посмотреть что-либо не в первый раз,то же что.: "посмотреть ещё раз", "посмотреть второй раз" и т.п. просмотреть - обычно бегло прочесть, либо сделать мониторинг какой-либо информации (один раз)
