I tried doing a translation to practice my italian past tenses imperfetto and passato prossimo. I wrote the text myself and am not a native english speaker, so there might be some mistakes in the english version as well (ignore those please :P). I would be thankful if someone could take a look at the italian text!
It had rained for many days. The summer was long and grey. When we coudn't stay outside, it was difficult passing the time. Every time it stopped raining we went outside, but the rain would soon return. One day we built a pillowfort at Lucas'. Other times we passed the time chasing Barbaras dogs around, until her mom threw us out of the house.
Pioveva per molti giorni. L'estate era lungo e grigia. Quando non potevamo stare fuori era difficile passare il tempo. Ogni volta che smetteva di piovere andavamo fuori, ma la piove ritornava sempre dopo poco. Un giorno abbiamo costruito un fortino di cuscini. Altri giorni inseguivamo il cane di Barbara, fino a sua mamma ci buttava (buttavaci?) fuori.
Grazie mille!
