Hi Everyone . Something I want to speak about this morning . I noticed as a native English speaker . I can translate absolutely anything FROM SPANISH TO ENGLISH with no problem at all and if you say it to any person that speak English , you will be WELL UNDERSTOOD . But , when I work with certain native Spanish Speakers it’s always difficult for them to translate from ENGLISH TO SPANISH when I want to know certain words or phrases . Then , at times I can have someone who is Mexican translate a sentence for me . I’ll practice it until I can say it without looking at my sheet and as soon as I say the phrase around my Dominican or Puerto Rican friends , I get reactions like .... “ Eww Who Taught You That “ or “ Don’t Speak Like That . We Don’t Speak Like That in Spanish Bro “ Lol .... is Spanish really that diverse ? Sorry guys , I’m 7 months in on my journey and I’m trying to get over the gap that I’m in .
