- Eat, pray, love (Elizabeth Gilbert)
There are too many things one can learn from “Eat, Pray, Love”. It is all about following your dream and about taking the risk of following your instinct, which is so difficult to do and there are very few people in this world who actually do. In this book, Elizabeth Gilbert describes how the main character follows his heart, stepping outside the comfort zone.
The author talks about a stage in our journey towards realizing our dreams both literally and figuratively and how the main character overcomes his fear of letting go of what was so familiar and comfortable. It is a heart-warming, inspirational tale told by a formidable yet ordinary human being.
It is firstly a voyage on the literal road. It is also a voyage of self-discovery. But this book can spirit you and that’s the magic of this writer. I instantly connected to her writing style, her storytelling, her character. The story weaves between settings, the past, and the present. I laughed and cried and fell in love and never wanted this book to end. So beautifully written, I am at a loss for words to convey how much I loved this book and how sad I was to finish it.
