TV and me-1 My kid loves to watch T.V , there are some programs that are good while others are mindless,being a girl she has her own liking, it's boring when I have to watch episode after episode of Barbie only followed by another episode of Dora.

Met a New Friend. Made a new Friend yesterday; we talked over the phone, I was intrigue by her story telling abilities. It was like energy and life radiating through phone line.

My First Meditation Experiences: On the path {It’s a continuation of my mediation series) I went home and broke the news to parents, being a religious person mother was patient, eventually news drifted to father, I felt he was concerned but thankfully didn’t show any negative reaction, brother and elder sister were merely amused seeing me seating cross-legged with closed eyes. First few weeks the process was followed regularly in prescribed doses but perhaps , I was more regular in ruining it by insistence to regenerate the first experience, interestingly, like a devious lover mediation was not coming to me when I was trying to push it, but often came in a tip toe ,when I was totally unaware of it, I used to feel it especially after working on our little garden, please be aware that my use of word feeling could not be taken in literal sense, it’s like pressing same switch and receiving a different candy each time, I can assert only one thing about its uses here that it was pleasant and could be compared to phrase ‘ looking same world with new eyes ‘, In the same phase, I was often surprised by seeing enhanced light in the room or outdoor I was in , it was like , lightning the field of vision with some extra light bulb (I would say white) , it’s like , It’s like suddenly same scenery became more bright and colorful catching me off-guard in a shower of pure beauty .

My Thoughts on food -1 In contrast to past, now food is available in abundance and packaging department takes special care to make it appealable, An army of scientists, physiologist and sales personals are dedicated to push wrapped food into our small tummies {and take money out of pocket}, recently I was reading a study that claims that sugar is more addictive then nicotine, Like me you must have felt that nowadays things are more sweeter than ever, packaged food commonly used a compound called MSG to enhance taste (it comes under many names that are not easy to decipher without proper knowledge of chemical nomenclature, so food label would have it {a FDA requirement} but it’s not useful to commoners) ,even a small search on Google would revel that it is the same compound that is used to induce obesity in mice (considering genetically a mice cannot be fat) , and it’s just a tip of an iceberg, so in short combined with day to day stressful life people are much more challenged than ever.

Mediation experiences: First One: I learnt my first mediation technique in the year 1999, and wish to share the first ride with myself and with the readers, first mediation experience is like having the first kiss, it is with me for all my life, there were many more adventures thereafter but nothing could outshine the original, contemplating why it felt the way it was, I believe it is because I was unaware of what to expect, although putting the moment into the exact words is not possible but I would be making an effort to record it here. It was at a time when Internet was accessible only over phone modem, I used to connect to internet from my father’s office at the night time, it’s there I first came to know about the organization and its popularity, I am not able to recall how I was able to trace the address of a local office and fixed the appointment but it must be in the time between march to July because weather was pleasant. I just graduated from using bicycle to a small moped; it was a big leap that enabled me to cover even larger area of the city. I was with a teacher, he started with giving me some instructions on the origin of the technique and the process to follow , at the end he didn’t fail to mention that how the technique itself is the very original one and free from any religion practice , after the seating we went into a temple like structure and performed ritual practiced by his organization, thinking back now feel there was nothing great about the ritual itself but at that time I knew nothing about it, at a very subtle level it felt like that I am going to embark on a great adventure. We moved to a while sheet covered area, me and my teacher (I am shameful about not being able to recall his name now) set on cross legged and then whispered the mantra gently in my ears, then we closed the eyes, fist few mines there were thoughts in my mind but eventually they were less and less ,a beautiful void started to dawn upon my mind , overall it was a wonderful feeling , externally there were random sounds, passing traffic or a remote conversation but it was not interfering with my experience, physically my breath was slower and at some point I was not berating at all, the experience went on for twenty minutes and then teacher gently touched my elbow, I open my eyes but was not able to speak , he asked me to be still for few more moments. Finally when I was ready to speak, I was ready to jump out and tell him what happened but he didn’t show any interest.....

What is the best strategy to acquire Central American Accent? I am trying to learn Central American Accent, using Books, CDs and DVD courses, my time investment is 30 mins a day, but in my mind I still speak English in an north Indian way, I saw some people doing accent so nicely , question is how can I augment my progress.
