Shadowing
I'd like to say something that I learnt about English speaking. Chinese people such as me( :p ) always pay more attention on pronunciation but the ACCENT. I believe that accent is the thing we need to learn from and imitate the native English speakers.
(其实中国人的发音比很多东南亚国家或者欧洲国家的居民要好的多,但却在语言表达上很吃亏,因为我们的语音语调分句都做的不好。书面来讲就是真正的抑扬顿挫。)
If you really want to pronounce your English perfectly by yourself at home, the most effective approach is imitation. I have been imitating some TV plays for one year. This method is also called SHADOWING. You listen to some English, and you repeat it at the same time. Make sure that you're listening and you're repeating at the SAME time. This does several things for you. The first thing that it does for you is it trains your ear to listen very very carefully to the way that things are said, to the tone and the rhythm in which phrases are said, and the length and the number of pauses that are used in speech. The second thing that it will do is it will really improve your pronunciation and your accent. I will also get your mouth muscle moving in the correct way and it will train you to move your mouth properly when you are speaking.
Just be relax!!

The word "Clingy"
Today, I learn a interesting word from Jasmine. The word clingy is not a difficult one, but I'm not familiar with it. I must say that I have never seen it from TOEEL or GMAT vocabulary lists, which I need to remember time and time again. In Chinese it is called 黏人的, and in English, if you describe someone as clingy, you mean that they become very attached to people and depend on them too much. I think it is a common phenomena during a relationship, such as a clingy girlfriend or boyfriend.
It's great to learn a real life word that I can't get them from textbook. And I admit that I'm a litttttttle clingy, just a little. LOL
