Cultural Question: Why do Chinese people choose English names? I've notice that many Chinese people choose English names. Could some of you please explain why that is done? Is it just like a "user name" for internet use, or do you use your English name off line, too? Are chinese names not original enough, or descriptive enough? Is it done to facilitate computer usage, and if so, why not just use a Pinyin representation of your chinese name? Thanks!

Italian: Masculine / Feminine articles. I'm a bit confused about when to use and apostrophe ( ' ) before a noun, and how it relates to the article. If I'm a female teacher, I'd say, "Io sono un'insegnante". But what if I'm a male teacher. Is i the same? A man is "un dirigente". What's a woman? "una dirigete"? A woman nurse is "un'infermiera". What's a male nurse? Thanks!
