Alejandra is an extraordinary teacher who made me believe that I can master Spanish in my free time after all. I made many attempts previously and nothing worked like Alexandra's lessons. She has a unique gift of being encouraging, engaging, responsive, and able to tailor her lessons to your needs. This is how our work was structured: I have been working with Alexandra for more than half a year, typically meeting twice per week for an hour. I started as a advanced beginner and after 6 months I progressed tremendously. In our twice per week lessons, I practice grammar by conversing ( I usually study grammar on my own, to save time ) while Alexandra provides clarifications, corrections, and activities to make the grammar stick! We discuss topics related to culture and customs which interest both of us, and give us a way to learn more about our respective countries. I have gained a great respect for Alexandra, her country and language. I hope one day we will meet in person! Daniela
