Yangping

Had my first lesson with Yangping-san. His style is that of speaking at a natural pace, but toning down his vocabulary usage based on your level, which is exactly what I was looking for. He also would throw in more difficult vocabulary here and there, and make sure you understood what he was saying, before moving on, which I think is a really smart method of confirming where the students level is at. Furthermore, he repeated most of his questions a few times while writing them down in the chatbox, which gave me extra time to digest what he was saying, and acclimate to his speed and style of speaking. The lesson had a very good feeling to it, and he kept the conversation flowing really well, and also gave me the time to think when I needed a second to formulate my responses. All in all a good lesson, and a good teacher. Will be doing more lessons with Yangping-san.

Good second beginner Japanese lesson. Sensei speaks relatively fast so harder to listen but he breaks down his sentence so that I can understand. Would highly recommend taking his class for Japanese immersion.

Really great conversation today. Yangping-sans method of speaking just at the edge of my level of understanding is really great. Just enough where it pushes me to increase my level and learn new words and phrases, but not too much so that I cannot understand at all. We had a great conversation today, even though it takes me some time to "rev the engines" up so to speak, and actually be able to speak. He has been very patient with me when I need to take my time and think about how to phrase my sentences when they go outside of the normal nichijou kaiwa conversation routes. Yangping-san is a really easy person to talk to, and I look forward to our next conversation.
