Thanks María! I recommend classes with María wherever you are on your learning journey. I started conversational classes with her about a year ago (October 2025) doing just 1-2 per month. I had about 6 months of Comprehensible Input/Dreaming Spanish experience back then (~200hours). While it was tricky at times, she was always encouraging and made the conversations enjoyable. A year later (875hrs of input total) and I’m now doing multiple classes per week and able to talk about a much larger range of topics and in various tenses. Woohoo! New vocab word of the day that came up in conversation “vikingo”. Looking forward to the next class tomorrow. I’m now getting reading for a 4 month trip through South America and Spain and feeling listo for the challenge. -Fred

I can’t believe I’ve already had 40 classes with her (and many more to come)! I’ve taken classes with many other tutors on here where I learned from them, but Maria is at another level with the amount of care that she has for her students. You can feel the love and passion she has in this. Looking forward to the next class as always!

María is an absolute pleasure to interact with. She is very warm and friendly and adapts her speaking style beautifully to her students. My son is is also a student of María's and highly recommended her to me. He is far more advanced than I and has very advanced conversations. For me, my experience with conversational Spanish is more basic and María will speak more slowly and patiently and frequently check in to make sure I understand what's being said. I appreciate her patience and have seen myself quickly gain confidence in speaking with her.
