I am Hideyuki Toda, from Japan!
I have experiences living in different countries such as United States and the U.K. when I was a student.
As a professional, I've lived and worked for Goldman Sachs, an distinguished U.S. bank in Singapore over 2 years.
<Hobbies>
1. Love traveling so I've been to over 12 different countries! It is just such a pleasure to learn different culture and lifestyle as well as languages and food.
2. Skateboarding and Surfing are another my passion. I live near by the coast so it is just as essential as breathing !lol
3. Music is another part of my favorite thing. Expressing myself trough singing and playing the piano and guitar is just satisfying!Ich als Lehrkraft

I have struggled enough before being able to communicate fluently with English speakers! So I understand how you can learn and practice different languages while you are enjoying the process of learning. Besides being able to speak English, understanding and embodying different cultures are a whole another level. However, I have been exposed to people with different cultures and taken leadership in a global environment as a professional. I am very confident of teaching Japanese in English and vise versa.

<Purpose>
The purposes in my classes are having FUN and being PRACTICAL.
<Goal>
So as to fulfill them, class will be individualized for each student based on their needs and desires. Additionally, deep understanding of different culture is another emphasis in my class because simply knowing a language does not mean you can communicate well with natives. You need to understand culture!
<Lesson>
I know some of you feel bored learning by only textbook.
If you are anime lover, we can watch actual videos or use manga!
If you are into music, we can used the lyrics of the Japanese song.
If you are finding your job, I can set up business interviews.

Hide-san continues to be a huge help for me to get more skilled at complex conversation. In the beginning, i felt very rudimentary in my word choices, and already am trying out using more turns of phrases on top of learning matching phrases for common english concepts like "hole in the wall" is "隠（かく）れ家（が）＋レストラン"

I can really see the improvement in my ability to formulate sentences after each lesson. The information Hide provides is great for application outside of the lessons, which allows me to practice naturally without feeling like I'm studying or doing homework.

Hide Sensei did a great job of making the lesson feel relaxed and casual, while also assessing my language level. He asked me various things in Japanese and helped me on a couple areas where I was struggling. I really enjoyed our tutoring session and look forward to the next one!
