Carlos is a very good teacher (having been a teacher myself for over two decades, it's fair to say I can tell the difference). He is totally engaged, listening carefully to the student, and invested in having the student learn the correct way to learn and use Portuguese, including the grammar, pronunciation, enunciation, context, etc. while guiding the student throughout. His energy is soft, and as mentioned, very engaged and alert; never shying away from correcting the student whenever necessary, so from the start, one is set on the correct path of learning. I can’t say enough good things about Carlos. He’s just extremely patient and he goes very slowly so that I can understand every word and every kind of difficult accent and he just has a very calm presence that makes it easy to learn. I was very lucky that I just happened to pick him out of so many teachers. My wife was listening in and now she’s interested in taking lessons from Carlos.
