Hello there! My name is Romain, I'm 24. I come from Belgium and my native language is French. I also speak English, Dutch and Spanish.
I've been passionate about languages since I was 14. I study English&Dutch literature and linguistics, as well as translation (master degree). Beside university, I also play the violin.
I have many hobbies and a high interest for everything that surrounds me. Here are a couple of these hobbies: Language learning, Violin/Opera, Journaling, ASMR, gaming, walking, composing watching animes...
I generally adapt well to different types of students. I'd love to help you find the tools and resources that suit you best. I enjoy giving small challenges to help you build up your confidence.

My teaching experience:
I have worked as a secundary school substitute teacher and have also given private classes in French, English and Dutch. I also often work at an emergency callcenter which requires speaking 3-4 languages.
The course may be given in: French, English, Dutch or Spanish

English and Dutch teacherI was contacted by a school because they were interested by my profile, even as a student. I therefore accepted to become a fulltime teacher for 3 weeks until a certified teacher would be able to come back. It eventually ended up being a wonderful experience to me, the institution, as well as the students. I later got a job offer from this school, asking me if I would accept working as an official teacher. Seeing my students enjoy learning was beautiful.

He tenido dos clases con Romain y ¡es genial! Tiene muchísima paciencia (cosa que agradezco mucho) y tiene una forma muy clara y amigable de explicar las dudas. Además, es una persona cercana y profesional, lo que hace que el proceso de aprendizaje sea eficaz y agradable. Otra cosa que me gusta de él es que explica las diferencias del francés en Francia y Bélgica, así que para amantes de las lenguas es muy enriquecedor. Lo recomiendo al 100%

Every lesson with Romain is so enjoyable because he is so friendly and easy to talk to. It is also a wonderful experience to listen to his French (so melodic and clearly pronounced) and he also speaks English fluently and naturally. I am learning so much about translation from Romain and am also beginning to understand more of the subtleties of the French language, which he generously shares with me and patiently explains. Thank you, Romain, for guiding me through the art, science, and mystery of translation!
